This chart highlights the artists with the greatest relative gain in Spotify Monthly Listeners, a metric that is updated every day and consists of “unique listeners who play your music during a 28-day period.”

Wavo Analysis

  • DJ and Producer Valdi released "Nosequé" last week, a song featuring both English and Spanish vocals. With most of his streaming support from fans in Madrid, Santiago, and Mexico City, he has seen a 70% increase in Monthly Listeners.

  • Little Jinder is a Swedish singer who has been releasing music since 2008. Much of her discography is in Swedish, but her most-recent single "The Passover" was performed in English. Her Monthly Listeners grew 40% over the last 7 days.

  • Elsewhere, it's all about seasonal music: Christmas tunes from Simon MulliganPeter Auty, and the Westminster Choir are all driving their expected (but nonetheless, impressive) streaming growth.

This chart includes some of the world's most popular artists, filtered to highlight those with impressive gains in Spotify Monthly Listeners.

Wavo Analysis

  • Following the death of rapper Juice WRLD, more people are streaming his music, as it often happens after an unexpected tragedy. Billboard and Forbes reported similar behavior after the passing of Nipsey Hussle earlier this year, and XXXTentacion and Mac Miller in 2018.

  • Little Mix—a British girl group formed by the X Factor—released their first Christmas song "One I've Been Missing" back in November. Now, there's an acoustic version out, and judging by the spike in streams, fans are happy with the results.

  • US singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler released her single “I Was In Heaven” along with an official music last week, and has seen a 3.2% increase in Monthly Listeners ever-since.
